Privacy
Last updated October 19, 2026 · Spellpods is operated by Arcanum LLC, which also runs Spellgs.
Spellpods has no accounts, no cookies, no ads and no analytics or tracking scripts. Here's everything it keeps:
- When you post a pod: the store, time, format, bracket, proxy and vibe choices, seats, your display name, an optional contact handle and note. These are public on the pod page. Don't post emails, phone numbers or your full name; the form blocks email addresses.
- When you join a seat: the display name you type (public on that pod).
- Private edit links: we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of the secret link that lets you edit or leave a pod. Your browser keeps the link itself in its local storage so you can come back to your pod.
- Spam limits: a one-way hash of your IP address with a timestamp. Rate-limit records are deleted daily by an automatic clean-up once they're over a day old. A posted pod also keeps a hash of the poster's IP to deal with abuse.
- "Near me": if you share your location, it's used once to find nearby pods and isn't stored or logged.
How long
One-off pods are deleted automatically a few hours after they start. Weekly pods repost themselves with empty seats each week until the host deletes them (from the private edit link).
Who processes it
Spellpods is hosted on Vercel, which stores pod data in private storage (Vercel Blob) and, like any web host, processes your IP address to serve pages. We don't sell or share personal information.
